Abstract:Based on 178 empirical literatures, this paper uses meta-analysis to examine the correlation between multidimensional knowledge absorption (MKA) and enterprise innovation (EI). The results show that MKA is positively related to EI, and compared with other innovation layers, MKA and innovation capabilities are more relevant. We find that three dimensions of MKA are all positively related to EI. Moreover, compared to static KA, dynamic KA is more relevant to EI. Besides, all of moderators (cultural background, industry nature, and measurement methods) we chose can positively moderate the relationship between MKA and EI, and their effects is very different in the relationship between MKA and specific innovation layers. The conclusions enrich the existing theoretical findings, and provide management basis for enterprises to flexibly utilize MKA to improve the efficiency and level of EI.
