未吸收冗余与企业竞争力：外部信息获取和内部战略更新的链式中介作用机制

Unabsorbed Redundancy and Competitiveness of Firms: A Study on the Mechanisms of External Information Acquisition and Internal Strategic Renewal

整合资源管理视角,提出了一个被调节的链式中介模型,探究了外部信息获取和内部战略更新两种资源管理战略如何协同作用促进未吸收冗余转化为竞争力。基于288家制造企业的实证结果表明：环境扫描和战略更新不仅分别中介了未吸收冗余与企业竞争力之间的关系,也在未吸收冗余与竞争力之间起到了链式中介作用；竞争强度负向调节了环境扫描在未吸收冗余与竞争力之间的中介作用,正向调节了战略更新在未吸收冗余与竞争力之间的中介作用,正向调节了环境扫描和战略更新的链式中介作用。研究深化了对不同资源管理战略协同作用机制的认识,打开了未吸收冗余影响企业竞争力的内部机制黑箱,对企业管理者制定有效的冗余资源管理战略有重要启示。

Abstract:

A moderated serial mediation model is proposed from resource management perspective. The model investigates how external information acquisition and internal strategic renewal transform unabsorbed slack resources into corporate competitiveness of firms. Empirical results based on 288 manufacturing firms show that unabsorbed slack resources exert positive effects on competitiveness not only through the indirect role of environmental scanning and strategic renewal separately, but also the serial mediating role of environmental scanning and strategic renewal. Furthermore, competitive intensity positively moderates the mediating role of strategic renewal, the serial mediating role of environmental scanning and strategic renewal, and negatively moderates the mediating role of environmental scanning. This study enhances our understanding of the synergy effects of different resource management strategies, opens up the black box of how unabsorbed slack resources influence competitiveness of firms, and has important practical implications for firms in making effective slack resources management strategies.
